A packed village hall in Hose enjoyed a summer musical concert which raised hundreds of pounds for Dove Cottage Day Hospice.

The event was organised by the Belvoir Wassailers Male Voice Choir who performed alongside the Belvoir Big Band and Harby Primary School’s junior choir.

Well rehearsed musical performances included Tuxedo Junction, La Bamba and Tears in Heaven.

Refreshments such as Pimms, tea, coffee and cakes were served and a retiring collection was taken.

Georgina Steward, who works at Dove said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Belvoir Wassailers for organising the event in aid of Dove and for putting on a fantastic night of music. The Belvoir Big Band and Harby Primary School were also excellent. In total £715.24 was raised.”
