Vandals target two bus shelters on same road

By Grantham Reporter

Mindless vandals have smashed up two bus shelters on the same street.

A member of the public contacted the Journal to express his dismay at the pointless act of vandalism, which is thought to have happened between Sunday, June 24, and Monday, June 25 on Turnor Close, Grantham.

The man, who wants to remain anonymous, said it is not the first time it’shappened.

He said: “The glass panels have been broken before but nothing to this extent. The windows in both shelters were smashed and glass was all over the street on Monday morning. It would have taken a lot of effort to break through the glass. Words fail me.”

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “This is being investigated as criminal damage. If anyone has any information, please ring 101. Incident 42 of 25 June. “

The shelters have now been repaired.
