VIDEO: Colourful Grantham Carnival parade winds its way through town

Many people dressed as children’s favourite TV characters took part in today’s Grantham Carnival Parade.

The carnival is celebrating its 30th anniversary and this year’s theme is Children’s TV in the 1980s.

Those taking part in the colourful parade included Grantham College, Clarence House Day Nursery, Grantham Sunrise Rotary Club, Isaac Newton Primary School and Grantham and District Scouts.

Mayor of Grantham Jacky Smith also took part in the parade as did Carnival Queen and Princess Kerry and Shelby Walker.

The parade made its way to Wyndham Park where a variety of entertainments, stalls and a fun fair are taking place today and tomorrow.
