VIDEO: Grantham hustings - Voters ‘tired of negative campaigning’

At today’s hustings in Grantham the parliamentary candidates were asked if they could leave out the negative campaigning and ‘fight decently’.

Six parliamentary candidates for the Grantham and Stamford seat lined up today for the hustings organised by BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

The hour-long hustings was broadcast live from the Market Place and presented by Melvyn Prior. Watch the candidates’ responses on this video.

The six candidates were Nick Boles (Conservative), Barrie Fairbairn (Labour), Harrish Bisnauthsing (Liberal Democrat), Aidan Campbell (Green Party), Marietta King (UKIP) and Jan Hansen (Lincolnshire Independents).

Mayor of Grantham Ian Selby is standing for parliament as an independent candidate, but was not at today’s hustings.
