Video: Isaac’s Apple sculpture lifted out of Grantham park in rescue bid

The Isaac’s Apple wood sculpture in Wyndham Park had been removed in a bid to stop it from rotting away.

In this video taken by Elizabeth Bowskill, secretary of Wyndham Park Forum, you can see the sculpture being cut away and lifted on to a truck to be taken away to a farm where it will be dried out and treated.

The sculpture was made from the trunk of a horse chesnut tree by Nigel Sardeson five years ago. It is hoped the sculpture can be put back in the Sensory Garden later this year.
