VIDEO: The Flying Scotsman returns to Grantham after 10 year restoration this week
The legendary steam locomotive The Flying Scotsman will pass through Grantham this week following 10 years of renovation.
The locomotive will be touring the country and will pass through the town on its inaugural run on Thursday, February 25, on its journey from London to York.
The outward journey from London Kings Cross leaves at 7:40am, arriving at York at approximately 12:30pm, meaning the famous engine should be in Grantham at around 9.45-10am.
It will pass through again on June 18 on its way back to London, after making its way from King’s Cross, through Peterborough, then Spalding, Sleaford, Lincoln, Gainsborough and Grantham, before returning along the East Coast main line.
