Some of the best bits from the RotarySwimarathon 2017 have been caught on video.

The video uploaded on to YouTube this week captured the action from the three-day event at The Meres earlier this month, organised by the Rotary Club of Grantham.

Event co-ordinator Roger Graves said: “Every effort has been made to capture the spirit of the event and of course, and most importantly, all those 1,380 swimmers who took part.”

Produced by Cold Harbour Films, many hours of footage has been condensed into just over 10 minutes.

Roger said: “We hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed putting the event on for you and the people of Grantham.”

This was the 28th year of RotarySwimarathon and Rotarians are proud that the total raised over that period has now passed £750,000.

All money raised by the 230 teams of swimmers who took part will be distributed to local charities and good causes.

President of the Rotary club Neville Thompson featured on the video. He said: “What a wonderful weekend, boy we had some fun and we raised a lot of money.

“We really look forward to next year when we’re going to have another bumper year of raising money for our community.”
