A Grantham business is making a donation with every job for a year towards the Mayor’s three charities.

Rowleys Commercial Energy Assessment on Westgate and Harlaxton High Street are donating £1 each time they give an Energy Performance Certificate.

Peter Rowley and his wife Alison who set up the company in 2007, visited Mayor Ian Selby yesterday to present a cheque of £184 collected over the first three months.

Mr Rowley said: “The Grantham community has benevolently supported the growth of the business throughout the last seven years.

“We have always believed in the reinvesting in our local community and what better way to do that than to support the Mayor’s Charities Appeal.

“The three charities, Kesteven Rideability, Gravity FM and of course the Grantham Journal’s own Children’s Fund each provide much needed help and cohesion to the whole community.”

Mayor Selby said: “It is an absolutely marvellous gesture and I want to say a big thank you to Rowleys Commerical Energy Assessment.

“When choosing my three charities I thought long and hard, and if the business community can get behind and support them it really would be appreciated.”
