Mechanic Simon Hardingham, 25, is well on his way to raising the money he needs to take part in a 10-week trip to Zimbabwe where he will use his skills to help poor communities.
Simon, of Cecil Street, Grantham, led his ‘Walking for Water’ trek through the Vale of Belvoir from the Rutland Arms in Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir on Sunday, followed by a raffle at the pub.
Simon said: “We had a brilliant day with a great turn-out and perfect weather. I managed to raise £217.10 from the day which is excellent.”
