Police believe that three males who have been knocking on doors in the Manthorpe area are rogue traders.

The men who have been seen travelling around Manthorpe in one blue and one white transit van have been approaching residents and trying to get them to pay for guttering to be cleaned or fixed as well as driveways to be cleaned.

Police have had reports that the men who have Irish accents try to get all or part of the money up front and then will do half the job and not finish it.

They add that these men can be intimidating, with one coming up to the door and talking nicely before the other two follow and put pressure on residents to accept the work.

Police community support officer Jackie Fulker said: “The elderly and vulnerable are at risk from these individuals so please look out for your neighbours or people you may know who fit this category.”

The registration plate of the blue transit van is 06-KK-5201 and of the white transit van is 07-MO-4915

Please call the police on 101 if these males knock at your door or if you see these vehicles in your neighbourhood.
