Warning of cold callers around Colsterworth and Swayfield claiming to be ex-prisoners

Police news.
Police news.

Throughout yesterday police received reports of men knocking on doors around Colsterworth and Swayfield, saying they had recently been released from prison and attempting to sell low value items.

The men made reference to having travelled from the Nottingham area, and although police are not aware of anyone having bought goods from them, they are asking the public to continue letting them know via the 101 number if further door knocking occurs.

Police believe that if they fail to sell in the area they will move on.
