Warning of strong winds for parts of Lincolnshire

By Dan Churcher and Sam Parker

A warning of strong winds has been issued for Lincolnshire for Saturday, with the north of the county forecast to suffer the worst of the gusts.

The Met Office has issued a ‘yellow’ warning of wind for northern and central parts of the UK, indicating that people there should ‘be aware’ of possible disruption.

It warns of gusts of up to 70mph on the day.

However, as of this evening (Tuesday), the warning only covers the northern most part of Lincolnshire.

The public is advised to monitor the Met Office’s website for updates which, it says, are likely in the coming days.
