We must do more to raise awareness of disability
Column by Grantham MP Gareth Davies
One of my favourite parts of this job is to visit and meet with our many charities and voluntary organisations in Grantham. However, I have been reliant on video conferencing and even the old-fashioned telephone to check in with some of our local organisations recently.
One of my recent meetings has been with the fantastic Grantham Disabled Children Society (GDCS) and one of its trustees, Darryl Blair. Darryl is one of the parent volunteers who in non-crisis times, runs a series of activities for disabled children and their families in our town.
