Witness appeal after Wisbech man and Grantham pair injured in A52 crash at Sedgebrook

Police are asking witnesses to get in touch following a collision between two cars at Sedgebrook yesterday afternoon.

The crash happened on the A52 at around 1.27pm yesterday (Monday, June 1).

The road was closed to allow emergency services to treat those involved and to investigate the scene. The road reopened at about 6.20pm.

The two vehicles were a blue BMW which was travelling westbound towards Nottingham and a white Audi travelling east bound towards Grantham.

The driver of the BMW, a 38-year-old man from the Wisbech area was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. His injuries are described as serious, and he is in a stable condition.

The driver of the Audi, a 25-year-old woman from Grantham and a man who was a passenger in the Audi, have left hospital today.

PC Robin Hook who is the investigating officer for this collision asks for anyone travelling along the A52 prior to the collision or anyone who actually witnessed the crash to contact the Witness Hotline on 01522 558855 quoting incident 194 of June 1.
