Woman airlifted to hospital after four-car crash on the A1 northbound south of Grantham

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a crash between four cars on the A1 this afternoon (September 2).

It happened on the northbound carriageway at about 12.10pm at Easton, near to the Skillington turn off, and Lincolnshire Police said the woman had been taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham with 'serious injuries'.

Another woman was also reported to be injured.


The A1 was closed in both directions but the southbound carriageway re-opened at about 3.30pm.

Northbound remains closed.

Any witnesses to the collision should call Lincolnshire Police on 101 with incident reference 160 of September 2.
