Put on your party gear to support Marie Curie in Grantham
People are being invited to pull on their party gear and dance the night away to raise money for Marie Curie Lincolnshire.
The Grantham and Sleaford Fundraising Group, chaired by David Barnett, is organising the Great Daffodil Appeal event to raise money for local Marie Curie nursing services.
Mr Barnett said: “I really want to help patients who are in need of the support from Marie Curie. My partner, Wendy, is a nurse herself so I know first-hand the incredible work they do. As a group, we want to make sure we raise enough funds to allow people the choice to stay at home when they are dying.
“The ball promises to be a great night with the live band Paisley Circus, an auction and a raffle. The tickets also include a three-course meal and welcome drink”.
The event is being held on Saturday, March 14, at 6.30pm, at Woodland Water, Ancaster. Main sponsor for the evening is Greencore – Food to Go.
Community fund-raiser for Marie Curie Lincolnshire, Lauren Alexander-Lee, said: “We are extremely grateful to our Grantham & Sleaford fund-raising group and Greencore for hosting such a fabulous event and for going to such lengths to support our local nursing service.
“I really hope the communities of Grantham and Sleaford gets behind the event and donned their best dresses and suits.”
