Work on new zebra crossing to start near Grantham school next week

Work will begin next week on a new zebra crossing on Dysart Road in Grantham near a primary school.

The new crossing has been designed to improve safety near Isaac Newton Primary School. To allow the work to be carried, two-way traffic lights will be in place between March 30 and April 7.

On April 8 and 9, the road will be closed with traffic diverted via Trent Road, the A607, Harlaxton Road and Sankt Augustin Way.

Coun Richard Davies, Executive Member for Highways and Transportation, said: “The new crossing will not only help pupils reach the school more safely, but will benefit other residents using shops and businesses in the area.”
