GENEROUS members of the public, attracted by the lure of the Premier League trophy, donated more than £170 to the Journal’s cemetery fund.
The Journal was invited to raise money for the fund at the grand opening of the new-look Barclays in Grantham High Street on Friday (April 15).
With the help of members of staff at Barclays, the Journal received £172.51 in donations.
Rugby Union legend Rory Underwood was invited to open the newly refurbished branch while members of the public took the chance to have their photo taken with the Premier League trophy, free of charge.
