Townsfolk are invited to take part in the next ‘My Grantham’ project event on Saturday.

Led by Grantham Museum, with support from Grantham College, the event will see visitors create their vision of a future Grantham as a scale model.

The model will be crafted from recycled card and contain houses, shops, amenities, workplaces and anything else people think the town needs.

Museum director Christine Robbins, said: “We think a museum should be as interested in the future as it is in the past. We have lots of records and objects that show how the town has developed, but we want people to use their creativity to design their future Grantham.

“I can’t wait to see what ideas people bring to this.”

The event will be held in the Isaac Newton Shopping Centre in the unit opposite Costa Coffee, between 10am and 3pm. Craft activities will be suitable for all ages.
