A group of young Irish dancers have been enjoying success in competition recently.

The Caroline McManus School of Irish Dancing, based at Bottesford Primary School, came fifth out of 30 primary schools at the national final of the Great Big Dance Off at the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham.

The group, made up of 21 girls and two boys from Years 2 to 6 at the Bottesford school, qualified for the final through a heat in Nottingham.

After the final, Caroline said: “I am absolutely delighted. They all danced beautifully on the day. They were so proud and they wanted to go up there and do it again.”

Caroline also runs a class for high school pupils. For details about the dance school call Caroline on 07725 996812 or email gary.hunt12@btinternet.com
