Barrowby youngsters dress in colours of rainbow for children's charity
Youngsters at a village pre-school wore their most colourful clothing to nursery last week to raise money for a children's charity.
Children and staff at Barrowby Pre-school were taking part in the LincsFM Wear Your Rainbow Day, to raise money for Cash for Kids, a grant-giving charity helping children that need it most across the UK.
The pre-school was decked out in rainbow coloured bunting and colourful pictures.
Pre-school manager Louise Rinkert said: "We thought it would be a fun way to end the year and raise money for a good cause. The children were asked to dress in their most colourful clothes and make a donation to Cash for Kids, which is a charity to support children in the Lincolnshire and Newark area.
"All the children and staff had a lot of fun dressing up, I think the staff really enjoyed dressing up in the most colourful clothes possible.
"We decorated the outdoor area in rainbow bunting and made rainbow pictures to take home and decorate their bedrooms."
The youngsters spent the day dancing to their favourite songs and managed to raise £35.
Louise added; "I had a rainbow poncho which all the children decided to hide under. It was a lovely way to end the year."
Cash for Kids aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.
