Youngsters dress up as superheroes and princesses at Grantham nursery

Youngsters at My Nursery in Grantham raised £37 for charity by taking part in a superheroes and princesses day.

Children and staff dressed up as a range of colourful characters including Elsa, Snow White, Cinderella, Spiderman, Batman and Superman for the fund-raising event.

The nursery, in Conduit Lane, was raising funds for Crackerjacks, a children’s charity, committed to offering help and assistance to any child or their family in the UK who suffer from a disability.

A spokesperson at the nursery said: “The children each paid £1 to take part. They really got into character and combined it with activities around the nursery such as sticking pictures of spider webs and painting pictures of princesses.

“Our pre-school children even held a princess party which included a lot of dancing.

“We had such a lovely day. We are not sure who enjoyed it more - the staff or children.”
