WYNDHAM Park Nursery School held a fund-raising day of fun on site with their pupils, parents, governors and teachers.
They raised money for Home-Start Grantham, which supports families with young children in the area, the Friends of Gambia Association, which funds the building of nursery facilities in Gambia, and Action Duchenne, a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy charity. This was chosen because one of the nursery school’s youngsters suffers from the condition.
Pupils aged three and four took on the challenge of an obstacle course, which included up-and-over, climbing through, sliding down and throwing challenges. Most pupils completed the course twice.
Headteacher Debbie Butcher described the atmosphere as full of support, inclusion and clapping.
In total they raised £125 for Action Duchenne, £100 for Friends of Gambia Association and £400 for Home-Start.
Sarah High, from Home-Start, said: “Thank you very much to the school for thinking of and donating to us. Rest assured the money will be put to good use, supporting families in Grantham.”
