AFTER reading of the dreadful development proposal for the beautiful green valley between Somerby Hill and Spittlegate Level, I would like to make a couple of corrections.
Park homes such as those at Cheveley Park have very little barrier to noise levels.
People who buy park homes want peace and quiet. Everyone will feel the impact of this development - watch out Little Ponton it’s heading your way!
Why do SKDC think that Grantham’s present proplems will be solved by building more shops and houses, when the town centre has a multitude of empty shops and houses already?
Building more retail space will not bring the trade here and any traffic problems solved by the east-west bypass will be cancelled out by the 4,000-plus new vehicles brought in by the new homes.
