ON a recent trip to Grantham Cemetery my dad and I were left quite upset.
Yes I admit it is nice and of course necessary for someone to cut the grass at the cemetery, but carefully and with consideration.
We witnessed one of the huge grass cutting machines parked on top of some poor person’s grave, whilst the operators seemed to be having a chat.
We went up to the office to complain and the staff in there were very helpful, but we tried to explain we didn’t want those mowers anywhere near mum’s grave, and that we would tend to it ourselves.
I just want everyone to know what we saw and be given the choice of whether to look after their loved ones’ graves themselves or risk allowing this to happen to them.
