Grantham Journal letter: Pumpkin competition raises £460

Have your say

Towergate Russell Plaice recently ran a pumpkin carving competition in aid of Grantham Hospice.

We received donations from local businesses totalling £230, which Towergate’s charitable foundation will match, giving a total of £460 to be donated to St Barnabas Hospice on Barrowby Road.

We would like to sincerely thank the following businesses which took part to help us raise this amount of money and gave us such a diverse and creative collection of pumpkins to choose from: Bailey’s Hairdressing, Bird and Co, Brown and Co, Dance Pointe, Default Blue, Escritt Barrell Golding, Genes Barbershop, Haart West Bridgford, Headroom, Nottingham Building Society, Peter Chalk and RPP Taxation Services, Plaice Thompson and Richardson, Pygott and Crone, Ringrose Law, Santander, St Catherine’s Road Dental Practice, Terry Ballaam Motor Engineers and The Railway Inn (Ancaster).

A special thank you also goes to Karen Holm of Asda, who kindly donated the pumpkins free-of-charge.
