I AM an elderly resident of my village and have recently been disturbed by what I am witnessing.
Five young children, the eldest being no more than nine-years-old, have been boarding the Caythorpe to Grantham bus ALONE! Every Friday these children board the bus with the eldest child acting as ‘mummy’ to the younger siblings. Surely they shouldn’t be allowed by the bus driver on to the bus? It’s quite a way to go for unsupervised young children, let alone the dangers with strangers these days.
Please parents, I must ask you to stop and think before allowing your children such freedom. I think there should be an age limit for children travelling that distance alone.
