THERE is a reunion of members and their friends, who served in Palestine from 1945-48 in the Military and British Palestine Police, at Eden Camp, Malton, Yorkshire, on Saturday, October 15 from 10am to 5pm. Entrance is free, upon advice to the entrance guard, that they are veterans.
There will be a band and a small parade, for those willing, to a short ceremony marking the event. Many seats will be present. The general public will also be present on the day to watch the ceremony.
Any member who served in Palestine during the above period is very welcome. Membership is growing, including some individuals who have settled in coutries far away, but travel back to attend the event. It is apparent that many who served in Palestine are not aware that there is an annual reunion which began 10 years ago.
There are a large number of photographs, articles and maps on show in a section of Eden Camp, covering the above period both before and after.
