Talented youngsters in excellent show

Have your say

ON Friday and Saturday, I had the great pleasure of playing keyboards for an extremely talented set of Grantham youngsters from the Lincolnshire Star Academy, whose show, The Wizard of Oz was a great success!

There was a sprawling scarecrow (Harriet Green), an astute tin man (Casey Leigh), a mousey lion (Sam McCallum), an innocent Dorothy (Jessica Burgess), a wickedly bad witch (Savannah Green), a tuneful Gloria (Heather Walker) ... I could go on.

The performances were all carried out with commitment and eagerness. Grantham is musically great, with a very promising future in these young people and they deserve all our support. Needless to say, the band was also very good.

Well done everyone. It was a wizard performance.
