Unfair criticism of Grantham festival turnout

Have your say

I can understand the “bitter disappointment” felt by the organisers of the Festival for Heroes but the correspondent, I. Thomas’ assertion that Grantham people should be ashamed at the poor turnout is somewhat unfair.

Countless events have been organised this summer by countless people and have either had to be cancelled or have been poorly attended as the weather has been so dreadful. It can hardly be said that there is no support for the armed forces when the Help for Heroes shop in New Beacon Road is absolutely full to bursting with merchandise donated by Grantham people.
