ATHLETICS: Bainbridge is Grantham AC’s sole representative at Ropsley Ripper

Grantham Athletic Club’s John Bainbridge was the club’s sole representative at the the sixth staging of the Ropsley Ripper on Saturday – a nine-mile multi-terrain race in and around the grounds of Rauceby Hall.

The normally tough event was made more gruelling than usual by the recent wet weather, but John finished in 84th place in a time of 1hr 17min 53sec.

Despite the wet and windy weather, GAC had eight parkrunners out at three events.

Results. Netley Abbey – 68 Julie Stewart 25.49; Newark – 28 Keith Measures 25.10; Belton House – 40 John Ellerby 27.03, 47 Joanna McGrath, 27.52, 57 Trudy Hanson 29.23, 72 Dona Hall 31.17, 73 Richard Hall 31.17, 104 Janice Anderson 41.14.
