ATHLETICS: Entry to Grantham half-marathon is now closed

Entry to Grantham Athletic Club’s Newton’s Fraction Half-marathon is now closed.

The club’s annual 13.1-mile race sold out with three weeks still remaining till the event which takes place on Sunday, March 15.

Five hundred competitors from as far afield as Berkshire and Newcastle have entered the race which starts at The Meres stadium at 10.30am. Competitors include ladies’ and men’s title defenders Emily Foran, of Sleaford, and Shane Robinson of Lincoln.

Entry is still available for the accompanying Little Apple Fun Run which takes place while the half-marathon is in progress.

It starts and finishes on the stadium track, with runners setting off at 10.50am. It costs £4, with all finishers receiving a medal, and entry can be made on the day.
