Grantham Athletic Club’s Ben Allen took part in the Great North Run last week.

Ben was running and raising money for the Stroke Association but notched up a personal best time of 1hr 27min 25sec in the process. His effort put him in the top one per cent, finishing 514th from the 54,000 strong field in the popular half-marathon.

John Ellerby took part in the unique Bath Two Tunnels Half-maarathon at the weekend.
