ATHLETICS: Grantham AC’s Dona sets another 5km PB

Grantham Athletic Club’s Dona Hall set her third consecutive personal best at 5km on Saturday.

She was joined by five other club runners at the Newark Parkrun where she recorded 37min 55sec for 129th place.

Results: 9 Paul Davidson 21:11, 20 Keith Measures 23:28, 41 John Ellerby 25:56, 42 Richard Hall 26:00, 44 Janice Anderson 26:05.

l Adam Madge, Adam Jackson and Dean Houlton were at the sharp end of the Lincoln 10km on Sunday, with both posting sub-40 minute times. The fast course in uphill Lincoln attracted more than 4,700 runners.

Results: 35 Adam Madge 35:26, 54 Adam Jackson 36:17, 85 Dean Houlton 37:51, 590 Geoff Collier 45:06, 1,737 Amelia Hall 53:35.

l Meanwhile, Julie Stewart and Trudy Hanson took on the Ashby-de-la-Zouch 20-miler on Sunday, in preparation for the London Marathon on April 26.

Results: 536 Julie Stewart 2:54:41, 807 Trudy Hanson 3:17:26.

l Also running in the Ashby race were Ropsley Road Runners Tony Johnson and Steven Thacker.

Tony completed the 20 miles in 2:30:50 and Steven recorded 2:47:00.
