ATHLETICS: Grantham AC’s Naomi is first lady and tough to beat

Grantham Athletic Club had nine athletes competing at three different 5km parkruns over the weekend.

Naomi Collier was first lady to finish at the Belton House event and finished second overall, setting a female course record that will take some beating.

Dean Houlton continued his recent good performance with a second place finish on the new Boston course, while Dona Hall smashed through the 30 minute barrier with ease at the Leicester Victoria event, lowering her personal best by a massive 66 seconds.

Results: Leicester Victoria – 96 Richard Hall 24:31, 154 Dona Hall 29:25; Boston – 2 Dean Houlton 19:05; Belton House – 2 Naomi Collier 18:31, 3 Nathan Richards-Cole 18:35, 19 Geoff Collier 21:44, 30 Keith Measures 24:00, 39 Janice Anderson 24:43, 58 John Ellerby 26:31.
