ATHLETICS: Grantham AC’s Sophie knocks seconds off her parkrun PB

Grantham Athletic Club had nine athletes competing at five 5km parkruns over the weekend.

Sophie Stanley reduced her PB by 23 seconds at Belton House. Also at Belton, Megan Tremain was only three seconds shy of her PB.

Dean Houlton maked a welcome return from injury with a performance just outside 19 minutes at the Lincoln event, and Tony Madge was just under a National class performance with an age grading of 79.59 per cent at Colwick.

Results: Colwick – 12 Anthony Madge 20min 20sec; Lincoln – 8 Dean Houlton 19:03; Poole – 261 Richard Hall 25:35, 454 Dona Hall 30:52; Rutland Water – 30 John Ellerby 27:29; Belton House – 18 Sophie Stanley 22:24, 21 Geoff Collier 22:51, 63 Megan Tremain 26:56, 106 Catherine Muir 33:21.
