Grantham Athletic Club’s Zoe Lucas brought home a bronze medal from the Welsh International meeting in Cardiff last Wednesday.

Zoe was selected for her international debut after she finished second in the 100m hurdles at the Northern Championships in June.

She represented England North in Wales and ran well to finish third behind Jess Hunter and Mollie Courtney.

Zoe said: “My target had always been to reach international level and to represent my country in the future. I was so pleased to be able to compete in an international event in my second year in under-20.”

After racing in Wales, Zoe went on to represent Lincolnshire in the UK CAU and England Athletics AAA Senior Championships in Bedford.

In her final race of the season, Zoe was pleased with her performance, finishing fourth in her heat in a personal best time of 14.55sec.
