ATHLETICS: Grantham AC stretch their legs at Gainsborough cross country

Grantham AC’s cross country runners raced at Gainsborough in the third round of the Lincolnshire Runner League on Sunday.

Representing GAC were Bourne athletes Saskia, Aaron and Chris Hunt, Stamford School’s Holly Youles and Witham Hall School pupils Rory and Ewan Rodell.

In the the Junior, Senior and Veteran men, Chris Hunt finished 56th.

Whilst the men were making their way around the 9km course, Rory secured second and Ewan sixth in the under 13 boys.

The under 15 boys soon followed, and Grantham’s team of Aaron Hunt (second), William Tucker (fourth) and George Hatton (ninth) won the team race.

As the meeting moved towards closure, the penultimate race of the day was the under 17, Junior, Senior and Veteran women, iin which Holly Youles placed 16th, with Saskia Hunt 21st.
