ATHLETICS: Grantham AC trio perform well in Lincoln event

Grantham Athletic Club had three athletes competing in the Lincoln Wellington AC 5km series last Wednesday night.

After a long bout of injury, Dean Houlton posted a respectable time of 18min 47sec, finishing in 27th position. Saskia Hunt improved her 5km personal best with a 23:41 performance and 74th place. The trio was completed by Steve Dickinson, getting back to form with a 28:17 effort for 94th place.

Aaron and Saskia Hunt competed in the Peterborough 5km series at Eye, finishing in 17:47 (29th) and 25:10 (220th) respectfully.

Grantham AC had seven members competing at two 5km parkruns over the weekend.

Will Tucker continued his impressive form with a win at the Belton House event. He was joined on the podium by George Hatton in third place.

Results: Belton House – 1 William Tucker 18:41, 3 George Hatton 20:15, 30 Sophie Stanley 23:23, 31 Mark Tucker 23:27, 53 Janice Davidson 25:07, 93 John Ellerby 29:07; Peterborough – 268 Steve Dickinson 29:06.
