ATHLETICS: Three parkrun personal bests for Grantham AC athletes

Grantham Athletic Club had nine athletes competing at two 5km parkruns on Saturday, with the frosty but calm conditions ideal for fast running.

Sophie Stanley was second lady to finish at the Belton House event and knocked an amazing 55 seconds off her personal best. Ian Worrall continued his good form, reducing his PB for the fifth consecutive week by 10 seconds.

Trudy Hanson was also pleased, taking 27 seconds off her PB, while Geoff Collier just missed his long standing PB by two seconds.

Results: Newark – 15 Keith Measures 23:59; Belton House – 17 Geoff Collier, 21:37, 28 Sophie Stanley 22:47, 50 Richard Hall 24:29, 97 John Ellerby 27:22, 98 Ian Worrall 27:33, 114 Trudy Hanson 29:13, 141 Catherine Muir 30:33, 147 Dona Hall 31:18.
