ATHLETICS: Conditions good for race in Vale of Belvoir

Conditions were good for the annual Belvoir Half Marathon and 4½-mile Fun Run on Sunday.

There were 495 finishers and 52 fun runners took part.

The main event was won by Josh Bull, of Derby Athletics Club, who finished the 13.1 miles in a time of 1hr 8min 50sec – which according to the event archives is a course record.

Winner of the fun run was Samuel Gordon-Kerr (Rutland Panthers), who also won the under-12 category, and second was his father Martin (Rutland Running & Triathlon Club). First lady was Madi Bledsop and first under-16 was Sarah Maston.
