Keen runner Amy Saggers took part in Endure 24, a Mizuno-sponsored ultra-run at Wasing Park, Reading, at the weekend.

Starting at noon on Saturday and finishing 24 hours later, Amy completed a total of 45 miles which is the furtherest she has ever run. Her Run MND team of three completed 110 miles overall.

Amy completed nine laps of the course, with lap times ranging from 41 minutes to one hour 28 minutes.

Through her efforts, Amy raises money for Motor Neurone Disease in memory of a family friend, Tracey Berry, who she sadly lost.

Run MND had 36 runners at Endure24 and covered more than 940 miles in 24 hours. It is currently MND Awareness Month and between them the 36 runners’ donations and fundraising efforts stand at more than £45,000. All believe in the same motto: “There’s no finish line until there’s a cure.”

Run MND is a charity run group self made through Facebook and has been going since 2014. It currently has 593 members that all want to raise as much as awareness for MND as possible.

Amy’s Just Giving page is and any donations would be most appreciated.

Amy is aiming to complete 100 miles in June for MND Awareness Month.
