Six members of Grantham Running Club competed in the Milton Keynes Marathon and Half-marathon on Bank Holiday Monday.
Scott Jones and Ben Hatherley set personal bests at the full distance on a slow course, whilst Andrew Pask opted for the shorter distance along with 13.1-mile debutant Anthony Burton.
Results: half-marathon – Andrew Pask 1hr 34min 28 sec, Andrew Burton 2.10.34; marathon – Ben Hatherley 3.20.32, Tom Fowler 3.25.04, Scott Jones 3.39.29, Matthew Kingston-Lee 3.39.29.

l Five GRC athletes took part in the Langtoft 10km with Tommy Williamson first of the quintet home in just over 43 minutes.
Sarah High finished in a season’s best despite the strong headwind in the first 3km.
Results: Tommy Williamson 43.06, Andrew Spencer 45.18, Mark Hillson 45.36, Sarah High 48.32, Lucy Roberts 52.21.
l Husband and wife Marc and Wendy Tremain elected to run the North Lincs Half-marathon at Scunthorpe.
Wendy was rewarded with a PB 2.16.02, an almost 15 minute improvement, whilst Marc recorded 1.53.43.
l Ian Brown produced a blistering performance to set a new best time of 20.24 in the Newark Parkrun to finish fifth in a field of nearly 200 runners.
