A trio of Grantham Running Club ladies filled the top three spots in last Saturday’s Newark Parkrun.

First home was Holly Durham, followed by Catherine Payne, with Holly’s sister Penny Hodges taking third place.

There was a top 10 finish for Chris Massingham, with his wife Stephanie also making an impressive debut. Rebecca Jones’s rehabilitation from long-term injury continued with her completing the run, while Paul Durham, father of Holly and Penny, made his Parkrun debut.

l Matthew Kingston-Lee set a new Grantham RC club record and smashed a 13 year old personal best when he clocked 34min 34sec at the Leeds Abbey Dash 10km last Sunday. Matthew, who is enjoying the form of his life after an injury-affected first half of the year, was delighted to better his old PB of 35.06.

He will now focus his attention on attempting to beat his PB at the Nene Valley 10-miler this Sunday.

l Grantham RC’s Scott Jones recorded 1.36.31 in the St Neots Half-marathon last Sunday.
