Liz Cann, a two times Commonwealth and European games medallist and five times national singles champion, visited the South Kesteven women and girls badminton group at Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School for the second time last Wednesday.

The visit was part of the link between the group, Sporting Champions and Sportivate.

Liz joined in the games and provided coaching tips and advice to the players. She said: “Badminton is a great sport which caters for all ages and abilities. This is the second week I have attended the sessions and it has been good to see all of the ladies so enthused by the sport and putting into practice my demonstrations.”

Grantham player Emily Spridgens said Liz had provided her with personal feedback on her play. Emily said: “I really enjoy playing badminton, and having Liz Cann attend two sessions has really inspired me to improve my badminton game.”
