Belvoir Cricket Club has appointed top Lincolnshire Cricket coach Peter Morgan to head up and deliver the coaching and development its junior section.

The significant investment by the club should enable it to deliver a high quality coaching programme to all of its junior players, which in turn should see a greater number of them going on to county and sub-county age groups.

Belvoir CC already has players representing Notts, Lincs and Leics for the coming season and with Peter’s involvement, it aims to increase that number in the coming seasons.

Peter, who is a Level Three qualified coach and a former Lincs CCC batsman, said he was very excited to be a part of Belvoir CC’s development plans.

He said: “I have history with the club, having played against them and with a fair few of the current set-up.

“As a result, I know they play their cricket in the right way and have the right attitude to move the club forward.”

Peter starts working with Belvoir CC with winter nets at King’s School, Grantham, in February.

Anyone interested in joining Belvoir CC should e-mail for details.
