Forty-five Belvoir Triathlon Club members filled The Meres leisure centre wimming pool in support of the Grantham Rotary Swimarathon on Sunday.

The club has supported this charity event from 2015 and has grown from two teams to nine in 2017.

In general, a record number of teams took to the water this weekend, comprising participants from various local businesses and clubs.

The swimarathon has been in existence since 1990 with the aim of raising monies for local charities and deserving causes in and around Grantham. It is the biggest fund raising event in Grantham and the Belvoir Tri Cub proudly raised more than £1,100 towards the charity event.

An event entrenched in the Belvoir Tri Club calendar, the Swimarathon has gained a reputation for being a professionally organised event run by the Rotary Club of Grantham and has been successful in assisting other clubs to start their very own.
