BOWLS: Thirty ladies contest Grantham triples competition

Grantham and District Indoor Bowls Club’s annual Pat Wallwork Trophy competition was played by 30 ladies in a triples format and was won this year by Janet Kell, Dorothy Creighton and Pat Royce with a score of 17-5.

Jan Orrey, Judy Morris, Hilda Whatley beat Sheila Richards, Kath Duller, Shirley Beardsley 16-10; Doreen Lester, Moira Clark, Elaine Meakins beat Joy Hobbs, Gladys Solesbury, Pam Greer 16-13; Pam Watson, Gloria Keasley, Eileen Eggleston lost to Maisie Culpin, Linda Appleyard, Rachel Diamond 9-14; Pat Horton, Trish Kent, Brenda Patten beat Jean Burton, Chris Miller, Rita Baxter 15-10; Margaret Barrett, Joy Hall, Tina Mayo lost to Janet Kell, Dorothy Creighton, Pat Royce 5-17.
