CRICKET: Bingham CC appoint coach from Notts CCC

Bingham Cricket Club has appointed Alan Harrison as its new club coach with immediate effect.

Alan has been a cricket coach for more than 20 years and currently works at Trent Bridge for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in their community team.

Bingham CC chairman Paul Maylard-Mason, said “We’re delighted that Alan is

joining us, and his brief is to lead coaching sessions for our senior coaching evenings.

“We’ve had two successive promotions for our Saturday first team and we are now at the highest level we have been at for over 20 years.

“Hopefully Alan will spearhead the development of our senior players, as well as our youngsters looking to play the game.”

Senior coaching sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 7.30pm at Butt Field.

The season starts for Bingham on Saturday (April 19) with an inter-club friendly, before their first Sunday match against Welby in Division Two of the Grantham and Melton Cricket Association.

The club is always interested in players of all standards, from age 13 upwards.
