South Lincs & Border League
Skegness 2nd 184-6
Grantham won the toss and put the opposition into bat.
The Skegness openers made a good start putting on 42 for the opening stand before Gaz Bennett removed Ainsworth for 25 thanks to a juggling catch by Paul Johnson.
The next wicket quickly followed when Gaz Bennett clean bowled Hewitt for 15, leaving Skegness on 48-2.
Neel Stevenson removed Nuttall for 42 and Ady Wing bowled Jackson for a duck.
Brant was run out and Chamberlain was bowled by Ady Wing.
In reply, Grantham got off to a steady start until Ady Wing was dismissed. Stewart Mudie looked in fine fettle with the support of Martin Parmley. The dismissal of Parmley brought to the crease Matt Wing who soon settled well to the job at hand and put Grantham on the front foot.
Mudie continued to bat well and soon passed his 50 before getting out for 57. Matt Wing batted with a lot of maturity and was well supported by Gaz Bennett (13) and Danny Ashley (17no).
Not to be outdone, Matt Wing passed his 50 and finished on 58no, seeing Grantham home despite a couple of late wickets with two overs to spare.
